April House was a project collaboration between 4 churches (Los Gatos Christian, Westgate, Cross Roads, and Church on the Hill) as a training project. This project changed a neighborhood that was set against the couple we assisted, to a neighborhood that became accepting and supporting. As we worked on the home, neighbors would stop by to find what we are doing and why, and once we explained the couple both are handicapped and they could perform the necessary landscaped needed to avoid being cited for blighted.
